Interviews will be offered to qualified applicants at the discretion of the Program Director/Assistant Program Director. An ad hoc Interview Committee will be assembled by invitation of the Program Director. Members typically include current POCUS Faculty, as well as past/present trainees. Interviews will be performed remotely through a web-based teleconference platform. Interviews are semi-structured with some common questions for applicants decided on by the group, as well as questions tailored specifically to individual candidates. A standardized scoring sheet is completed for each candidate at the completion of their interview. The Interview Committee makes recommendations for offers of acceptance to the Program Director. These recommendations are forwarded to the AFC Program Committee. Barring dissent, decisions regarding offers of training will follow promptly.
